RuTAG-IIT Delhi (CRDT) sponsored Animal Driven Borehole Line Shaft Pump project, to benefit the animal by rearing, atmosphere from pollution, savings in fossil fuels and alleviate the farmers from multi-dependency for low cost irrigation of lands, and also to provide potable water in villages.

In the course of field investigations and interaction with the farmers, it came out that it will be useful to establish the feasibility of using the standarized ADGB for variety of other rural applications such as for running the chaff cutter, floor mill, grain thresher and other rural gadgets.

We intend to undertake these applications in collaboration with Panchal Pumps and Systems. You may identify /modify suitable design of chaff cutter,flour mill, paddy thresher and low rpm alternator for electricity generation for matching their performance characteristic, evolving suitable coupling, de-clutching and breaking arrangements. After development of each application,field testing of the performance is to be done for standardization of each package. All types of technical assistance will be extended by RuTAG-IIT Delhi.

Further development of Borehole Line Shaft Pumps for deep borehole pumping.
